Products i love
Welcome to my favorite finds! These are products I’ve personally used and loved throughout my exclusive pumping journey (x3) and motherhood. I only recommend products that truly made my life easier.
Medela Quick Clean Micro-Steam Bag
My #1 recommendation
These saved me so much time. Between working full-time and exclusively pumping, I didn’t always have time to wash pump parts between every session. These steam bags made sanitizing quick and easy.
Milk Storage Bags
I’ve used many different storage bags. My favorite ones are the Lansinoh bags. They are affordable and freeze nice and flat. I always encourage moms, before buying a stock pile of bags, to check with their insurance to see if they offer a restock benefit. They may not be your favorite bags, but free is free!
Nipple Cream
Ladies… this is a lifesaver during the early months of pumping. With my first two girls, I never used cream. After my third, I got a trial size from the hospital so I figure, why not. What a game changer! I wish I would have known how helpful it was. The kind I used was the Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream.
Freezer Stash Essentials
Before you start building up your freezer stash, I highly recommend a trial run with your baby first. Freeze a bag- a few days later, unthaw and offer it to your baby. I have never experienced milk rejection from any of my children, but I have read articles of moms whose babies refused their whole freezer stash.. what a nightmare!
I have had trouble in the past with how to store the milk bags in the deep freezer to maximize space. I recommend freezing your bags FLAT and putting no more than five ounces in each bag. Freezing the bags flat keeps the milk from expanding outward, creating odd, lumpy shapes that wastes awkward gaps of space. I have learned from experience that if you put more than five ounces in a bag, you risk the bag leaking when unthawing. Who wants to take all that time pumping and freezing for the bag to leave when it’s time to use it.
More favorites are coming soon! As I continue sharing my journey, I’ll keep adding products that have truly made motherhood easier.
